School Assessments

Schools are multidimensional. In other words, there is a lot going on inside its walls.

As a result of this inherent complexity, it is sometimes hard to keep track of how these unique dimensions are working. That’s where our assessments come in.

Two Paths

Young Minds Consulting offers schools and other educational organizations the possibility of evaluating different aspects of their performance. In doing so, we offer two different paths:

Goal-orientated Assessment

If the organization has already identified a set of aspects they wish to be evaluated on, we have an initial conversation with them, in which we work on understanding their desired goals and approach to achieving these.

Exploratory Assessment

If the organization needs help in identifying areas for growth, we can also help them during this initial process by having an initial conversation in which we help them explore possible goals and paths to be taken to achieve these.

Once the criteria has been defined, we move forward with an investigation and observation period, in which we explore the current state of the organization, particularly regarding the criteria set during the initial conversation. During this stage, we focus on collecting data from a varied range of sources, such as teacher, parent and student surveys, curriculums, interviews with different members of the organization and observations, among other activities. In case the organization decides to go for an Exploratory Assessment, this stage will take longer, as more time is required in order to explore possible areas for growth.

After this, an action plan is designed and implemented, after which we evaluate and reflect on the outcomes. As we progress through each of these stages, close communication is constantly being held with the organization so as to ensure we remain faithful to the view and culture of each educational institution we work with.
